Commercial Brokerage Retail Committee


The members are retail brokers, owner representatives and other industry professionals active in leasing and providing store space in New York City.

Its mission is to bring together active industry professionals to share information, offer support and work to uphold the highest moral and ethical standards in NYC’s retail leasing community. The committee is dedicated to working together to effectuate meaningful political change on issues that matter to the retail community.

The Committee meets six times a year, alternating between talks on related subjects or the exchange and dissemination of available space and the terms of completed transactions. Members must agree to attend three of the overall six scheduled meetings to maintain their membership and each member is required to buy one ticket to the Annual Retail Cocktail Party.

A formal application process is required for participation in this Committee and requirements include: a minimum of 5 years’ experience, professional bio, two sponsor letters from committee members and approval from 85% of the votes tabulated. Applications for membership will be voted on twice a year (October’s submission deadline is September 30 and April’s submission deadline is March 31).
