Ms. Abrams is Executive Vice President and one of the principals of The Lansco Corporation. She has been with Lansco since 1979 and is active in both retail leasing and consulting. Ms. Abrams is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York where she was elected as chairperson of the Retail Leasing Committee. Additionally, she is on REBNY’s commercial division’s Board of Directors, and she teaches the retail segment for REBNY’s Continuing Education Program. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Currently Ms. Abrams works with various companies in New York City, including Citibank N.A. (acquisition and disposition), The Children’s Place, Room & Board, Bang & Olufson and other national chains as well as numerous fashion tenants including Bogner, Reiss, Penguin, Tracey Reese, Saint James and Gemelli Milano. She has been a candidate four times during her career for The Real Estate Board of New York’s “Retail Deal of the Year” award.
Ms. Abrams also represents various landlords and has been exclusive leasing agent for numerous properties including 601 Madison Avenue (the entire building was leased to Emporio Armani), 85 Fifth Avenue (she sold the commercial co-op and then secured Anthropologie for the new landlord), and 546 Broadway (50,000 square feet just leased to Uniqlo).
She does extensive consulting work including in-depth market analysis for both landlords and tenants, often with follow-up services negotiating lease renewals, extensions or terminations. In that capacity she represented the Goodman Estate for 744 Fifth Avenue Van Cleef & Arpels), the Onassis Foundation for 653 Fifth Avenue (Cartier), Bulgari at 730 Fifth Avenue, Cole Haan at 667 Madison Ave, etc. She served as one of the retail consultants for Rockefeller Properties/ TDC to develop the successful RFP for their mixed use project to be developed in Flushing. She also recently worked with the Hyatt Hotel to assess the value of their NYC retail space and develop a long term strategy. Robin came to New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois/Champagne-Urbana. She resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with her husband and two children.
