Burton P. Resnick

Resnick, Jack & Sons

Burton P. Resnick is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jack Resnick & Sons, Inc., with which he has been associated since 1956. The company was founded in 1928 by his late father, Jack Resnick. Burt=s son Jonathan serves as President.


Jack Resnick & Sons, Inc. has been in the forefront of the real estate development, construction, ownership and management business in New York. The firm's holdings are comprised of a long list of important residential and commercial buildings. In office space alone it currently controls and operates in excess of five million square feet of first class real estate in prime locations in New York City. Some of the more prominent of the Resnick commercial holdings include One Seaport Plaza, 52 Broadway, 75 Park Place, 485 Madison Avenue, and 110 East 59 Street, where the firm maintains its headquarters. The firm also owns 1.2 million square feet of office space in San Francisco, Philadelphia, Idaho, Kentucky, and North Carolina, all leased to financial institutions.


Mr. Resnick is Chairman Emeritus of the Real Estate Board of New York, Inc. and is actively involved with many philanthropic organizations. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Overseers of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He is an Honorary Director of the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association. Mr. Resnick is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Home Riverdale, as well as Chairman of their Building Committee. Mr. Resnick was also Campaign Chairman of the UJA-Federation, New York. He is a Co-Chairman Emeritus of the Real Estate Council of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Trustee and Vice Chairman of Carnegie Hall. He has served as National Campaign Chairman of State of Israel Bonds and is presently Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Development Corporation for Israel/State of Israel Bonds. He is also a member of the New York Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League.


Mr. Resnick has served as a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.


He received his B.A. degree from the University of Chicago in 1956.
