On October 22nd, over 500 real estate professionals filled the Ziegfeld Ballroom for our annual Fall Members’ Luncheon. David Brause, President of Brause Realty, Inc, led this thoroughly informative and engaging discussion with Kate Bicknell, Head of New York Development at Oxford Properties Group; Robert Lapidus, President and Chief Investment Officer at L&L Holding Company, LLC; Glen Weiss, Executive Vice President – Office Leasing and Co-Head of Real Estate at Vornado Realty Trust; and Meg Brod, Senior Vice President and Regional Development Officer at Rockefeller Group.

The panelists spoke optimistically about the future of commercial and residential real estate in New York City, emphasizing the need to be proactive, and build forward-looking 21st century products. While commodity construction is on the decline, specialty construction - with an emphasis on differentiation and quality - will always be in demand. To withstand a potential economic downtown, they encouraged members to focus on creating value for tenants by understanding their needs, and providing them with a flexible infrastructure that can adapt to a changing environment.

Thanks to our #FallMembersLuncheon sponsors for their continued support: Vornado Realty Trust, Fried Frank, Newmark Knight Frank, H.J. Kalikow & Co. LLC, Fisher Brothers, Jack Resnick & Sons, Kaufman Organization, BankUnited, Solow Building Company, JRT Realty Group, and Commercial Observer
